Beer Coasters The Oatmeal Stout Issue

Beer for Breakfast!?!?! um, yes please.

This weeks issue consists of a hearty helping of Oatmeal. We’re talking bout Oatmeal Stouts. As well as a little left over Chocolate Stout.

For our Fermentation Conversation this week, Toby and Mike are trying Anderson Valley’s Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout. While Chris is having a makeup day and talking about his Chocolate Stout from Fort Collins Brewing.

Next we have a discussion about the Rock Art Brewing / Monster Energy drink controversy.

For our tasting flight this week we start in the Middle with Chris and the Oatmeal Stout from Breckenridge Brewing. From there we move East to Mike getting his daily vitamins from Ipswich Ale’s Oatmeal Stout. And finally, we circle back around to Toby and his part of a complete breakfast, Alaskan Oatmeal Stout.

As always, thanks for listening and tell your friends.

Cheers!

Beer Coasters The Chocolate Stout Issue

Hello again all! Thanks for tuning in again to this week's issue of the Beer Coasters Podcast. Sorry for the delay in getting this weeks episode out. But I guarantee it was worth the wait.

This week we’re talking about Chocolate Stouts. We start with our Fermentation Conversation - Rogue’s Chocolate Stout. Then we move into an abbreviated tasting flight as Chris was unable to join us this week. First we listen to Toby while he samples the Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout from Stone Brewing. Then we move to the East where Mike is enjoying High and Mighty’s Two Headed Beast.

As always, thanks for listening and tell your friends.

Cheers!

Beer Coasters The Stout Issue

To brew, or not to brew: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The bland and boring of Macrobrews,
Or to take arms against the enemies of taste,
And by opposing end them?
And hence the Rogue known as Shakespeare’s Stout accompanied by the trusted Black Hawk of Mendocino shall embark;

From whence no passenger euer retur'nd,
The Imperial Isle of Berkshire, at whose sight
The happy smile, and the accursed Mephistopheles of Avery.

To drink: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that drink of death what dreams may come
