Beer Bloggers Conference 2014

Don't worry, we're still here.  Yes, we've been AWOL for a few weeks, but rest assured, we haven't stopped drinking beer.  Back in August, all three Beer Coasters made it out to the annual Beer Bloggers Conference - AKA #BBC14 - this time in beautiful San Diego.  We had such a great time, drank so much good beer and met a ton of fellow bloggers.  In this episode, we wrap up our time at the conference and sip on a few beers in the process.  In our "at conference couch trippin'" segment, we all check out the KMF Grand Cru from Sam Adams.  Toby then cracks open a bottle of the Vampire Slayer from Clown Shoes and Mike heads down the Path Of The Unknown with Pioneer Brewing.  Thanks for sticking around and send us some Backwash if you have questions or comments - @beercoasterspod , backwash@beercoasterspodcast.com , facebook.com/beercoasters  Cheers!

Swiggy Hop - A Tribute To Session IPAs

Summertime is the right time to drink beer.  A lot of beer.  Without compromising sobriety.  So, we check out one of the latest "trends" in the craft beer scene: Session IPAs.  For our Fermentation Conversation, all three Coasters swig on the Stone Go To IPA.  Toby heads home for a Nooner with Sierra Nevada, Mike goes a little Left Of The Dial from Notch and Crazy Dave goes all punk rock with the Grätzer from Sam Adams' Longshot 2013.  Cheers!

We must go to the future in order to go back in time.  There's a major drought happening in the West and the future of the brewing industry is at stake.  For our Fermentation Conversation, we throw poop at each other before trying the Monkey Fist IPA from Shipyard.  Crazy Dave swings through the trees with a Golden Monkey from Victory, Toby hangs out with Three Monkeys in Yosemite Falls and Mike picks the back of a White Monkey - also from Victory.  Cheers!
