The Sour Kraut

This year's Oktoberfest show marks the sixth year of celebrating this joyous holiday here on the Beer Coasters Podcast!  And what would a beer drinking holiday be without some ridiculousness and tom-foolery?  For our Fermentation Conversation, we all sit down at the huge picnic table and try the Oaktoberfest from Firestone Walker.  Mike tries to avoid sticky floors with some Big Elm Dark Star, Crazy Dave enjoys puking in the alley after the Oktoberfest from from Karl Strauss and Toby tastes the oldest Oktoberfestbier from Brauerei Weihenstephaner.  Please enjoy the festivities responsibly and Pröst!

Red Dawn

The Russians are coming!  And we don't mean Imperial Stouts.  In this episode, we band together with a rag-tag group of high school kids to try to fight off the Russian invasion of America.  For the Fermentation Conversation, all three Coasters grab their rifles and a bottle of the Flipside from Sierra Nevada.  Toby, now firmly planted in San Diego, fears the Invasion Imperial Red from Black Market while Mike tries to translate the propaganda over the air waves at WAAF and their Revered Ale from Wachusett.  Then, Crazy Dave charges the Russkies like a Fracas from Black Diamond.  Thanks for the Backwash this week and we should be back on a somewhat normal schedule.  Cheers!

Gone Fishin' Again

As the summer cools down, it's time to grab that rod and reel again and head down to the local fishing hole, in our second installment of "Gone Fishing".  And while we're there, how about we crack open a few beers?  Mike has a taste for red fish as well as white fish, so he baits the line with the Red & White from Dogfish Head.  Toby puts on his waders and slips into the Two Hearted Ale river, hoping to catch some trout from Bell's.  Finally, Mike can't get enough, so he hops on a local fishing vessel and heads out past the East Chop Lighthouse Ale from Offshore Ale Co.  We hope you're enjoying the show and would ask that you visit our Shop on the website to help support us.  Thanks and Cheers!
