Beer Coasters In The Pint Of Madness Issue

This week's show is the first installment in our "Wild Card Month" series here on the Beer Coasters Podcast.  In week one, "In The Pint Of Madness", we go crazy on your asses!  Probably because we didn't get any Backwash and we couldn't find a Fermentation Conversation beer.

Mike is the first one to lose it with Weyerbacher's Insanity.  From there, Toby is admitted into Left Coast Brewing Company's Asylum.  Lastly, Chris, donning his new straight jacket, gets a heavy dosage of Boulder Beer's Hazed And Infused.

It seems like it's been so long since the Beer Coasters have done the New Releases segment, but, time moves slowly on so many meds.  Look for more ice-box-clearing episodes to come.

Beer Coasters The Oktoberfest 2010 Issue

It's that time of year again.  Where we stuff our faces with tons of brätwurst and Bavarian pretzels - oh, and bier! Lot's of bier!  It's called Oktoberfest and this year marks the 200th Anniversary of the world famous celebration!...don't forget your LEDERHOSEN!

The Beer Coasters will celebrate by cracking open a bottle of Hex Ourtoberfest from Magic Hat.  Chris sips on the Shiner Oktoberfest, while Mike spills some of the Oktoberfest from Thomas Hooker on his lederhösen.  And finally, Toby slams down a stein of Tenaya Creek's Oktoberfest.  Thanks for joining us in the festivities.

Beer Coasters Older Than Ye Olde Issue

We are taking it back - way back!  Before beer was even beer!  From ancient Egypt to ancient Honduras to Olde Britain, we try out a few "Older Than Ye Olde" beer/meads on this week's show.

With some help from the "Indiana Jones of Beer", the Fermentation Conversation includes the Midas Touch from Dogfish Head.  Toby and Chris blow the dust off a box of Widmer Brothers' Prickly Pear Braggot, which is part of their Brothers' Reserve Series.  Chris will then also dig up, along with Mike, the Theobroma from Dogfish Head.

A couple of Beer Coasters firsts along with a quick wrap-up of the 2010 GABF winners will round out the show.  Thanks for listening and send us some BAKWASH.
