Beer Coasters Ode To California Issue

Do we wish they all could be California beers?  No.   But, on this week's issue of the Beer Coasters Podcast, they are.  In our Ode to California we sample a few tasty craft beers from the Golden State.   California is home to many wonderful things: the majestic Redwoods, beautiful surf spots and Hollywood.   The 31st state even has it's very own beer, the California Common.   With this deep history of the original American-style beer, all three Beer Coasters sample the style's namesake, the Anchor Steam Beer.
Chris is back from his trip to SoCal and with him is the California Ale from Telegraph Brewing.   Mike shreds a few with Port's Mongo IPA.  Toby stops by the Emerald Triangle and checks out the Hemp Ale from Nectar Ales.
Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" is a topic of discussion in our Hop Topics section.  Thanks for making the trek out West and stop by the Beer Coasters Shop and pick up some schwag.  Cheers!

Beer Coasters Weiss Guys Issue

So, you think you're some kinda Weiss Guy?  Just 'cause your brewed with wheat malts, that makes you some sorta tough guy?  Chris won't be joining us this week, due to him ratting out somebody from the middle of the country.  He was sent to San Diego in the Witness Hoptection Program.  Mike and Toby kiss the ring of Sierra Nevada and offer their assistance with the Kellerweis.  Toby shoves Joseph James - the true Weize Guy - into the trunk of his car.  Mike "takes care of" the Weiss Principal from Peak Organic.  Mike then has a pint with Cape Ann Brewing Co.'s Dylan L'Abbe-Lindquist, chatting about his brewing past and future.  Some interesting Hop Topics as well as some conversation-starting Backwash.  Thanks for tuning in and don't forget to tell a beer-loving friend.  Cheers!

Beer Coasters Everything's Kölscher Issue

Everything's Kölscher this week on the show. Summer is still very much alive, so we've set the fruit aside (not Italian) and grabbed ourselves some Kölsch. The Kölsch style is a rarity in this country, so check out the few craft beers we've obtained:

Chris sits in the shade while Mike and Toby try the East West Kölsch from Sam Adams. Mike in Boston splashes on the Köln while sipping the Fisherman's Ale from Cape Ann. We also get the inside scoop on the Fisherman's Ale from Dylan L'Abbe-Lindquist, brewer at Cape Ann Brewing Co. Toby swings in a hammock with a pint of the Alaskan Summer while Chris cuts the grass with his Fancy Lawnmower from Saint Arnold.

Continue to have a great Summer.  Cheers!
