Beer Coasters 2013 Great Pumpkin Ale Smash Up Issue
Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 9:00AM Tony Leone is back and brought some pumpkin beers! This is our 2013 Great Pumpkin Smash Up - a blind tasting, tournament-style event that'll surely have you out of your gourd! We are even joined by one of our latest fans, Dave D!

Cool experiment here.
I did a pumpkin experiment this past fall with 55 different pumpkin beers. I tasted 4-6 different beers in flights each night in october and kept track of which were my favorites. Since I had multiples of each beer I would bring the winners back in other rounds agains other winners.
Cigar City Good Gourd was an easy winner. It's no mystery why that beer sits at #1 based on BA ratings http://www.beeradvocate.com/lists/style/72/
Midnight Sun TREAT, Uinta Oak Jacked, Elysian The Great Pumpkin, Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin, Southern Tier Pumking, Lancaster Baked Pumpkin and Troegs Master of Pumpkins were some others high on my list.
Do yourselves a favor and find a Florida trading partner to send you some Good Gourd next fall. It's unlike any pumpkin beer that i've ever experienced. You won't be disappointed!
